More than ever before, we are taking advantage of the benefits of air travel to visit places in the world that only a few years ago many of us would not have considered possible. Globalisation of the corporate world has also increased the number of business travellers. Even though technological advances have been made in video conferencing, it cannot replace completely the benefits of meeting colleagues and clients face to face.
Making the world a smaller place certainly has its advantages, yet most people have experienced, in some way, the effects on their health of being in a pressurised cabin, such as feeling jaded or abdominal discomfort. In recent years some of the more serious health problems, such as deep vein thrombosis [DVT], have been brought to the public’s attention by the media. With this growing awareness, many are taking advantage of the increasing number of products available to help with these health issues.
Mile High is a flight drink that has been developed as a result of the personal experiences of the two directors of the company. Richard Hammond worked as aircrew for fifteen years and has broad experience of dealing with the effects of jet lag and other adverse symptoms of regular air travel. He also gained an extensive appreciation of how passengers were affected during flights, how they attempted to deal with these problems and how willing they were to try any new products or techniques to combat them.
Stuart Roberts experienced a particularly long and stressful long haul flight and decided to use his experience as a naturopathic nutritionist to develop Mile High, a drink whose ingredients have health properties relevant to air travel. Stuart and Richard combined their knowledge and experience to create a product that would appeal to air crew and passengers alike.
The result is an aviation juice drink designed for use by anyone who takes a flight, especially long haul. Mile High can be consumed before, during and after a flight giving air travellers more autonomy to look after themselves. Each ingredient has been carefully chosen for it's health properties relating to air travel.
